Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
These cookies are one of those standard recipes you find on a box or can, in
this case, of Quaker Oats. They are comfort food in the cookie department --
certain to conjure up memories of childhood cookie jars and after-school
treats. Let your children help make them with you.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 cups Quaker Oats
- 1 cup raisins
Heat oven to 350°F. Beat butter and sugars until creamy. Add eggs
and vanilla; beat well. Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt;
add to butter mixture, mixing well. Stir in oats and raisins; mix well.
Drop by rounded tablespoons onto cookie sheets. Bake 10-12 minutes. Cool
1 minute on cookie sheet. Remove to wire rack.
